A one day workshop with Jane Crick.
Suitable for potters of all levels, from complete beginner to more experienced.
During this workshop participants will learn how to add colour, whether oxide or stain, to a clay base. They will then use their coloured clay to produce a patterned loaf in the manner of millifiori or a larger original design. The use of a loaf of colour enables a particular pattern to be repeated regularly around the form to be made.
In this workshop the loaf will be used to make a patterned bowl, with colour right through its wall. Moulds will be provided.
A white earthenware clay will be used for this workshop but the techniques learned can be applied to any clay.
